15 : Cookies and Cream Cup Cakes : Cookies and cream is a fun cupcake flavor that you just might find at a bakery near you, and even if you can’t find one, you should totally make it yourself the next time you have a birthday to celebrate. Or when you just want cupcakes (which is probably all the time).

While this is a beloved ice cream flavor, it works well in cupcake form, too. You’ve got chocolate in the cake part and a super creamy icing. Best of all, these cupcakes are gorgeous and really fun to decorate, especially if you put some Oreo cookies on top.

**14 : Spicy 😈 Devils Food Cup Cake : A Devil’s Food cupcake is basically this cake flavor in cupcake form, which means that it’s got tons of chocolate.**

It’s not quite as decadent as some other cupcake flavors, which is why it’s number 14 on this list and not number ten, five, or higher up. But, again, it’s got chocolate flavor, so we’re going to love eating it. You won’t really see this cupcake flavor very often, though, so if you want to try it, you’ll probably have to make it yourself.

**13 : Samoa Cup Cakes : Samoa cupcakes are based on the popular Girl Scout Samoa cookies. This means that this cupcake flavor has vanilla, caramel, chocolate, and coconut.**

Sounds great, right? This is a perfect cupcake flavor when you’re craving a lot of sugar but aren’t quite sure which one flavor you want. You don’t have to choose at all — you can have a Samoa cupcake and get four flavors at once. How cool is that?! This won’t be easy to find either, but you’ll have fun making it in your own kitchen (and anyone who gets to try one will be pleased).

12 : Lemon Cup Cakes : Lemon cupcakes are one of the most delicious flavors. Lemon is just plain refreshing, and the combination of a moist lemon-flavored cake with a sweet citrusy frosting is amazing.

Lemon cupcakes, therefore, are number 12 on this list, and although they didn’t make it into the top ten flavors, they are still worth eating when you want a sweet treat. They’re not quite as incredible and magical as some other cupcake flavors, but they are worthy of adoration for sure.

**11 : Mapple Bacon Cup Cakes : Maple Bacon cupcakes. Oh yes. We are very glad that these are real because who doesn’t want a baked good that tastes like both maple syrup and bacon?**

This cupcake flavor made it to 11 on this list because of course this is incredibly delicious but it seems like it would be a bit too much to eat on a regular basis. (We know. We can’t believe we’re saying that about bacon.) It’s best to save this for a special occasion, you know? And we’ll always look forward to savoring it.

**10 : Salted Caramel ( pretzel ) Cup Cakes : It’s funny to think that just a few years ago, no one was talking about salted caramel, and now it’s seriously all the rage.**

Salted Caramel is awesome in so many different kinds of desserts, including cupcakes, which is why it’s number ten on this list of 25 cupcake flavors. Salted Caramel cupcakes are wonderful. Sometimes these have caramel inside of the cake part, which is epic, and the frosting will either have caramel inside of it or the cupcake will be drizzled with caramel. Oh yes. We love this flavor.

**9 : Mint Chocolate Cup Cakes : A Mint Chocolate cupcake tends to mean that mint-flavored frosting covers the top of a chocolate cupcake, and we think that this is a really good idea.**

We’ve made it to number nine on this list, and this flavor has definitely earned its place. It’s number nine and not higher up because this is a specialty flavor that you can’t find everywhere, and cupcakes should be an equal opportunity thing where the best flavors are available at many stores and bakeries. But this is quite the epic flavor combo, especially if you love mint chocolate chip ice cream.

8 : Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Cake : Everyone loves the classic flavor combination of chocolate and peanut butter. What is it about this? It’s just so decadent and indulgent, and these two seem like they were truly supposed to be together.

When we want this amazing flavor combo, we’re not going to discriminate between desserts and we would take it in cookie, cake, brownie, or chocolate bar form. We would also gladly eat a chocolate and peanut butter flavored cupcake. It’s just good. That’s really all we can say about it.

7 : S’Mores Cup Cakes : There’s been quite a trend in recent years about putting the flavors of this campfire treat into baked goods such as cupcakes, and we’re seriously loving it. It’s impossible not to want a cupcake that has all of the elements of a good S’more, from the chocolate to the marshmallow to the overall burnt (but amazing) flavor.

A S’mores cupcake tends to have a chocolate cake base and marshmallow icing, plus a crust made of graham crackers, or perhaps some cookie crumbs on top to get that familiar flavor. Hello, number seven. This aren’t in the top five because, again, you can’t really get them everywhere, but they are magical desserts.

6 : Strawberry Cup Cakes : If you visit a fancy or adorable bakery, you might be tempted to think that “pink” is a cupcake flavor because that’s kind of how it seems. You’ll see a beautiful pink cupcake with pink frosting staring at you from behind a display case, and you’ll know that’s the one that you want to order.

Of course, this flavor is usually strawberry, and it’s so good. It totally deserves the number six spot on this list. Sometimes it’s a vanilla cupcake with strawberry frosting and other times, the whole thing is this pink fruit. Yum.

**5 : Pumpkin Cup Cakes : Pumpkin cupcakes are sometimes Pumpkin Spice Latte cupcakes (after the super popular Starbucks drink, of course). Either way, they are some of the best baked goods out there.**

When you’re over pumpkin pie but still want a seasonal dessert, you can turn to the pumpkin cupcake, and it’s number five on this list because it’s just so good. Most of the time, this cupcake flavor will have cream cheese frosting, which is always a good time. These also look really pretty, too (and they are especially worthy of your social media photos).

4 : Funfetti Cup Cakes : Funfetti cakes have gotten really popular lately and who could blame them? This is probably the most adorable flavor out there. It doesn’t get more enjoyable than baking a cake that has rainbow sprinkles in it.

Funfetti cupcakes, therefore, are even more fun because they are even cuter. If a funfetti cake is adorable, then of course cupcakes (aka tiny cakes) are even better. We’re all over this cupcake flavor. It’s number four and it’s always a crowd-pleaser for sure.

3 : Vanilla ( Ultimate ) Cup Cakes : If some people think that vanilla is a boring cake or ice cream flavor, it’s funny because it’s definitely not considered to be a dull cupcake flavor. In fact, it’s one of the most classic and beloved flavors ever, which is why it’s number three on this list.

There is something so delicious about a vanilla cupcake. It’s honestly perfectly sweet and it doesn’t even need any chocolate chips or anything added to it. When you eat one, you’re satisfied and happy (although, of course, you could still eat two.

People go nuts for chocolate cupcakes. They are always so perfectly decadent. Even though they definitely contain tons of sugar, for some reason they never seem super sweet. They just seem delicious. When you want a cupcake, you might go for a trendier flavor or something seasonal, but you’ll always come back to chocolate as an oldie but a goodie and a total classic flavor. Chocolate cupcakes are unique because they are almost equally good from a grocery store and from a high-end bakery.

When you picture this dessert, you probably imagine this flavor, right? Red velvet cupcakes have such an awesome flavor, and since one of the ingredients is cocoa powder, they do have kind of a chocolate flavor which is always appreciated. They’re topped with cream cheese frosting which is a perfect compliment. Sometimes they’re made with red food coloring (okay, most of the time) but you can make a homemade version with beets.

Putting a sweet frosting on this cupcake is too much and will make you wish you were just eating a good old muffin instead.

22 : Carrot Cup Cake : In this age of hybrid desserts, it makes sense that people would put carrot cake flavors into a cupcake. That doesn’t mean that this is something that should have ever happened.

Carrot Cake cupcakes are number 22 on this list. The problem is that they end up tasting way too much like a muffin (and, therefore, like something healthy). A carrot cake cupcake just doesn’t give you the feeling that you’re biting into a sweet cupcake like other flavors do. If you want a carrot muffin, then go for it.

21 : Chocolate Raspberry Cup Cake : Chocolate Raspberry end up tasting kind of strange because the fruit flavor always tastes on the fake side. Even if it’s not, there’s something about this flavor combination that makes it seem that way.

When we want chocolate cupcakes, we honestly just want those, and we don’t need raspberry (or any other fruit) to be part of the dessert party. What about a double chocolate cupcake with a super rich frosting? Now we’re talking. We could totally go for one (or a few, who’s counting?) of that flavor.

20 : Chai flavoured Cup Cake : You’re only going to love chai-flavored cupcakes if you love chai tea and drink it on a regular basis. Otherwise, you might find that this dessert tastes super weird and strangely spiced.

This flavor is definitely part of the trend of creating all kinds of new, different, and interesting cupcake flavors. While the basics will always be good, it’s fun to try something new, and if you’re up for it, this will at least be a new cupcake flavor experience. Not everyone will love it, though, which is why it’s number 20.

You might wish that they had some more going on flavor-wise. If you love apple cake, then you’ll most likely love apple pie cupcakes. This is a great flavor since it’s got the not-too-sweet vibe of apple cake and then the lovely warming fall spices from apple pie. This flavor is number 18 since not enough people have tried it yet, but it’s interesting

**17 : Black Forest Cup Cakes : Continuing the trend of taking traditional desserts and turning them into cupcakes is the Black Forest cupcake.**

These are only good if you love whipped cream since they tend to have frosting made out of that. સેવંતી
ફૂલોની વ્યાપારિક ખેતી કરવા ઈચ્છતાં ખેડૂતો માટે સેવંતી અગત્યનું સ્થાન ધરાવે છે, આર્થિક ધોરણે ગુલાબ પછી સેવંતી બીજા ક્રમે આવે છે, સેવંતીને ફૂલોની રાણી કહેવામાં આવે છે. તે વિવિધ પ્રકારના રંગ તથા આકાર ધરાવે છે, સર્વતીની મુખ્ય બે પ્રજાતિઓમાં ક્રિસેથીમમ મોરીફોલીયમ (કાયમી પ્રકારની) અને ક્રિસેન્ચીમમ ઈન્ડિકમ (સીઝનલ પ્રકારની છે. સેવંતીના કૂલો બટન જેટલા કદથી માંડીને મધ્યમ કદના કોલીફલાવરના દડા જેટલા જોવા મળે છે. તેના ફૂલ પૂજામાં, હાર, ગજરા તથા વેણી બનાવવા માટે તેમજ કટફલાવર તરીકે વપરાય છે, ભારતમાં સેવંતીની ખેતી મુખ્યત્વે કર્ણાટક, તામિલનાડુ, મહારાષ્ટ્ર, બિહાર અને રાજસ્થાન વગેરે રાજયોમાં કરવામાં આવે છે. ગુજરાતમાં પણ વલસાડ, વડોદરા, આણંદ તથા ખેડા જિલ્લામાં સેવેતીની ખેતી વેપારી ધોરણે થાય છે.

સિંગલ: ફૂલની પાંદડીઓ એક હારમાં ૪ થી ૫ ની સંખ્યામાં જોવા મળે છે.
એનિમોન: ફૂલની પાંદડીઓ વધુ સંખ્યામાં અને મોટા કદની હોય છે,
પોમપોન: ફૂલ ગુચ્છામાં અને ગોળાકાર થાય છે. ફૂલની પાંડદીઓ સુંવાળી, મજબૂત અને અંદરની બાજુ વળેલી હોય છે.
ઇનકવર્ડ: કૂલની દરેક પાંદડી એકસરખી, આગળથી લીસી, અણીદાર અને અંદર વળેલી હોય છે

કટકા: વર્ષાયુ સેવંતીના છોડની ડાળીના ટુકડા બનાવી રોપણી માટે ઉપયોગ કરવો. રોપણી બીજથી તૈયાર કરેલ ધરૂવાડીયું ર૧ થી 30 દિવસ દરમ્યાન તૈયાર થઈ જાય છે. જેને તૈયાર કરેલ જમીનમાં જે તે જાતના ફેલાવા અનુસાર 30 સે.મી. x 30 સે.મી., ૪૫ સે.મી. × ૪૫ સે.મી., ૪૫ સે.મી. × 50 સે.મી.ના અંતરે રોપણી કરવી. રોપણી ઓકટોબર-નવેમ્બરમાં કરી શકાય છે. વર્ષાયુ છોડની રોપણી જુલાઈ-ઓગષ્ટમાં કરવામાં આવે છે. પાળા 30 સે.મી. પહોળા રાખી પાળાની બંને ધારે છોડ રોપવા પાણી નીકમાં આપવું.
ખાતર: જે જમીનમાં સેવંતીનું વાવેતર કરવું હોય તે જમીનમાં જમીન તૈયાર કરતી વખતે હેકટર દીઠ ૨૦ થી ૨૫ ટન કોહવાયેલું છાણીયું ખાતર કે કમ્પોસ્ટ ખાતર ભેળવી જમીનને ખેડી ભરભરી બનાવવી. તથા લીલા પડવાશ તરીકે શણનું વાવેતર સેવંતીના વાવેતર પહેલા ૬૦ દિવસે કરવું. એઝોસ્પિરીલમ અને ફોસફોબેકટર બેકટેરીયા ૨.૫ કિ.ગ્રા./ હેકટર નાખવા. ૫ ટના હેક્ટર વર્મીકમ્પોસ્ટ સેવંતીના વાવેતર સમયે આપવું.

પિયત: ચોમાસામાં વરસાદ ન હોય તો વર્ષાયુ સેવંતીને જરૂર મુજબ પિયત આપવું. શિયાળામાં સેવંતીને ૭ થી ૧૦ દિવસે તથા ઉનાળામાં 3 થી પ દિવસના અંતરે પિયત આપવું. ફૂલકની અવસ્થા પિયત માટે કટોકટીની અવસ્થા ગણી શકાય.

ખુટણ: છોડને વધુ ડાળીઓ તથા સારી ગુણવત્તાવાળા ફૂલો મેળવવા રોપણી બાદ દોઢ માસે અગ્રભાગ ૩ થી ૫ સેમી. કાપવો જેથી વધુ ફૂટ મળશે અને વધારે ફૂલ આવશે. છોડને ટેકો આપવો વર્ષાયુ છોડની વધુ ઉંચાઈવાળી જાતોના છોડને વાંસના કટકાથી ટેકા આપવાથી સારી ગુણવત્તાવાળા ફૂલ મેળવી શકાય. સીઝનલ છોડને ટેકાની જરૂરિયાત રહેતી નથી.

ઇતર કાર્યો:છોડને નીંદણમુકત રાખવો શરૂઆતની અવસ્થામાં કરબડીથી આંતરખેડ કરવી. સીઝનલ છોડને સાધારણ પાળી ચઢાવવી ફૂલ ઉતારવા ફૂલને સંપૂર્ણ ખીલ્યા બાદ સામાન્ય રીતે વહેલી સવારે અથવા સાંજના સમયે ઉતારવા જોઈએ. કટફલાવરની કાપણી કૂલ ખીલતાં પહેલાં કરી વ્યવસ્થિત પેક કરવા. કટફલાવરને કાણાંવાળા બોક્ષમાં જયારે છૂટાં ફૂલ ટોપલીમાં મુકી તેના ઉપર ભીનું કપડું મુકી વેચાણ માટે મોકલવા.

Solidago, commonly called goldenrods, is a genus of about 100 to 120 species of flowering plants in the aster family, Asteraceae. Most are herbaceous perennial species found in open areas such as meadows, prairies, and savannas. They are mostly native to North America, including Mexico; a few species are native to South America and Eurasia.Some American species have also been introduced into Europe and other parts of the world. Solidago species are perennials growing from woody caudices or rhizomes. Their stems range from decumbent (crawling) to ascending or erect, with a range of heights going from 5 cm (2.0 in) to over a meter. Most species are unbranched, but some do display branching in the upper part of the plant. Both leaves and stems vary from glabrous (hairless) to various forms of pubescence (strigose, strigillose, hispid, stipitate-glandular or villous). In some species, the basal leaves are shed before flowering. The leaf margins are most commonly entire, but often display heavier serration. Some leaves may display trinerved venation rather than the pinnate venation usual across Asteraceae. The flower is also the state flower of Kentucky.

The flower heads are usually of the radiate type (typical daisy flower heads with distinct ray and disc florets) but sometimes discoid (with only disc florets of mixed, sterile, male and types). Only ray florets are female, others are male, hermaphroditic or entire sterile. Head involucres are campanulate to cylindric or attenuate. Floret corollas are usually yellow, but white in the ray florets of a few species (such as Solidago bicolor); they are typically hairless. Heads usually include between 2 and 35 disc florets, but in some species this may go up to 60. Filaments are inserted closer to the base of the corolla than its middle. Numerous heads are usually grouped in complex compound inflorescences where heads are arranged in multiple racemes, panicles, corymbs, or secund arrays (with florets all on the same side).

Solidago cypselae are narrowly obconic to cylindrical in shape, and they are sometimes somewhat compressed. They have eight to 10 ribs usually and are hairless or moderately hispid. The pappus is very big with barbellate bristles. The many goldenrod species can be difficult to distinguish, due to their similar bright, golden-yellow flower heads that bloom in late summer. Propagation is by wind-disseminated seeds or by spreading underground rhizomes which can form colonies of vegetative clones of a single plant. They are mostly short-day plants and bloom in late summer and early fall. Some species produce abundant nectar when moisture is plentiful, or when the weather is warm and sunny. Young goldenrod leaves are edible. Native Americans used the seeds of some species for food. Herbal teas are sometimes made with goldenrod. Frequent handling of goldenrod and other flowers, however, can cause allergic reactions, sometimes irritating enough to force florists to change occupation.Goldenrods are attractive sources of nectar for bees, flies, wasps, and butterflies. Honey from goldenrods often is dark and strong because of admixtures of other nectars. However, when honey flow is strong, a light (often water-clear), spicy-tasting monofloral honey is produced. While the bees are ripening the honey produced from goldenrods, it has a rank odor and taste; the finished honey is much milder.Goldenrods are, in some places, considered a sign of good luck or good fortune. The invading larva may induce the plant to form a bulbous tissue mass called a gall around it, upon which the larva then feeds. છોડને સારી ગુણવત્તાવાળા ફૂલો આવે તે માટે ૨૦ ટન સારૂ કોહવાયેલ છાણીયું ખાતર કે કમ્પોસ્ટ ખાતર પ્રતિ હેકટર વાવેતર પહેલાં જમીનમાં સારી રીતે ભેળવીને આપવુ. બાયોફર્ટીલાયઝર જેવા કે, એઝોસ્પેિરીલમ અને ફોસ્ફોબેકટર બેકટેરીયા ૧- ૧.૫ લીટર હેકટર નાખવા.

છોડને હાથથી નીંદણમુકત રાખવો અને શરૂઆતની અવસ્થામાં કરબડીથી આંતરખેડ કરવી જોઈએ.

કાપણી: પૂષ્પગુચ્છમાં જયારે ૫% જેટલા ફૂલો ખીલે ત્યારે પૂષ્પદંડ વહેલી સવારમાં જમીનથી ૫ થી ૬ સે.મી. રહેવા દઈ સીકેટરની મદદથી કાપી લેવા જોઈએ તેમજ તેમને તરતજ પાણીમાં ડૂબાડી રાખવા જોઈએ. આમ કરવાથી ફૂલોની ગુણવત્તા અથવા તાજગી લાંબો સમય સુધી જળવાય રહે છે જેથી વધારે બજાર ભાવ અને ચોખ્ખો નફો મેળવી શકાય છે. ૧૦ થી ૧૨ પુષ્પ દંડની જુડી બનાવી કાગળ અથવા કેળના પાનમાં વીંટાળી વેચાણ માટે બજારમાં મોકલવા.

Gladiolus (from Latin, the diminutive of gladius, a sword is a genus of perennial cormous flowering plants in the iris family (Iridaceae). It is sometimes called the ‘sword lily’, but is usually called by its generic name (plural gladioli).

The genus occurs in Asia, Mediterranean Europe, South Africa, and tropical Africa. Gladioli grow from round, symmetrical corms(similar to crocuses) that are enveloped in several layers of brownish, fibrous tunics.

Their stems are generally unbranched, producing 1 to 9 narrow, sword-shaped, longitudinal grooved leaves, enclosed in a sheath.The lowest leaf is shortened to a cataphyll. The leaf blades can be plane or cruciform in cross section.

The flowers of unmodified wild species vary from very small to perhaps 40 mm across, and inflorescences bearing anything from one to several flowers. The spectacular giant flower spikes in commerce are the products of centuries of hybridisation and selection.

The flower spikes are large and one-sided, with secund, bisexual flowers, each subtended by 2 leathery, green bracts. The sepals and the petals are almost identical in appearance, and are termed tepals. They are united at their base into a tube-shaped structure. The dorsal tepal is the largest, arching over the three stamens. The outer three tepals are narrower. The perianth is funnel-shaped, with the stamens attached to its base. The style has three filiform, spoon-shaped branches, each expanding towards the apex.

The ovary is 3-locular with oblong or globose capsules,[9] containing many, winged brown, longitudinally dehiscent seeds.

These flowers are variously coloured, ranging from pink to reddish or light purple with white, contrasting markings, or white to cream or orange to red.The South African species were originally pollinated by long-tongued anthophorini bees, allowing pollination by sunbirds, noctuid and Hawk-moths, long-tongued flies and several others. In the temperate zones of Europe many of the hybrid large flowering sorts of gladiolus can be pollinated by small well-known wasps. The wasps are too small to polinate large sized flowers.European Hawk-moth Macroglossum stellatarum which usually pollinates many popular garden flowers like Petunia, Zinnia, Dianthus and others are also said to have polinate Gladioli.Gladioli have been extensively hybridized and a wide range of ornamental flower colours are available from the many varieties.The main hybrid groups have been obtained by crossing between four or five species, followed by selection: ‘Grandiflorus’, ‘Primulines’ and ‘Nanus’. They can make very good cut flowers for display. The genus Gladiolus contains about 300 species. Numerous garden cultivars have been developed, of which ‘Robinetta’ (a G. recurvus hybrid), with pink flowers, has gained the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. In temperate zones, the corms of most species and hybrids should be lifted in autumn and stored over winter in a frost-free place, then replanted in spring. Some species from Europe and high altitudes in Africa, as well as the small ‘Nanus’ hybrids, are much hardier (to at least −15 °F/-26 °C) and can be left in the ground in regions with sufficiently dry winters. The large-flowered types require moisture during the growing season, and must be individually staked as soon as the sword-shaped flower heads appear. The leaves must be allowed to die down naturally before lifting and storing the corms. Plants are propagated either from small cormlets produced as offsets by the parent corms, or from seed. In either case, they take several years to get to flowering size. સંવર્ધન:સંવર્ધન કંદ અને કંદિકાઓથી થાય છે. ફકત સંકર જાત બનાવવા બીજનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં આવે છે. બીજથી થયેલ છોડમાં બે થી ત્રણ ફૂલ આવે છે.

હવામાન: આ પાકને ઠંડી અનુકૂળ હોવાથી શિયાળાની ઋતુ દરમ્યાન સારી ગુણવત્તાવાળા ફૂલો મળી શકે. ગુજરાતમાં સામાન્ય રીતે સપ્ટેમ્બર થી ડિસેમ્બરના પ્રથમ પખવાડીયા સુધી તેનું વાવેતર થઈ શકે છે, જાન્યુઆરી માસ બાદના વાવેતરમાં કૂલ આવતી વખતે ઉનાળો શરૂ થઈ જતાં ફૂલની ગુણવત્તા પર હવામાનની વિપરીત અસર થાય છે. પાણી નિતરે તેવી જમીન તૈયાર કરી કંદથી વાવેતર કરી ખાતર , પિયત , નિંદામણ વિ. ની માવજત , કરબડી ની આંતરખેડ , લીમડાના અર્ક , લીંબોળી ના મીંજ ના છંટકાવ થી જીવાતથી સંરક્ષણ કરીને ફુલો ઉછેરવામાં આવે. ફૂલો ઉતારવા: ફૂલ દાંડીમાં જયારે નીચેની પ્રથમ કળીઓમાં ફૂલનો રંગ જોવા મળે એટલે કે પ્રથમ ફૂલ ખીલવાની શરૂઆત થાય ત્યારે છોડની નીચેનો ૪ થી ૭ પાન વાળો ભાગ રહેવા દઈ ફૂલદોડી કાપી લેવી અને પાણી ભરેલ ડોલમાં સત્વરે મૂકી દેવી. ફૂલને ઘણાં દિવસ એક જ કૂલદાનીમાં રાખવા હોય ત્યારે પાણીમાં રહેલ દાંડીનો થોડો ભાગ રોજ કાપતાં રહેવું. કંદના વાવણીના અંતર પર ફૂલદાંડીના ઉત્પાદનનો આધાર રહે છે.

ફૂલોનું ઉત્પાદન: ૬૦ હજાર કંદ એકરે રોપ્યા હોય તો એકરે ૭૦ થી ૭૫ હજાર ફૂલદાંડી (સ્પાઈક) મળે છે,

ફૂલ દાંડી કાપી દીધા બાદ છોડના પાન પીળા પડવા માંડે એટલે કે આશરે દોઢ થી બે માસ બાદ કંદ ખોદી લેવા. આ કંદને ૧૫ દિવસ છાંયડામાં સૂકવ્યા બાદ જ તેનું ગ્રેડિંગ કરવું. ગ્લેડિયોલસના કંદની જાળવણી ઘણી જ કાળજી માંગી લે છે. કંદને વ્યવસ્થિત સૂકવ્યા બાદ કાણાં પાડેલ પ્લાસ્ટિક બેગમાં અથવા કંતાનના કોથળામાં ભરી ઠંડી જગ્યાએ સંગ્રહ કરવો. સામાન્ય રીતે કોલ્ડ સ્ટોરેજમાં ૪૦ થી ૭૦ ફેરનહીટ ઉષ્ણતામાન અને ૯૦% ભેજ સાથે ૪ માસ સુધી કંદનો સંગ્રહ કરવો પડે

Petunia is genus of 20 species of flowering plants of South American origin. The popular flower of the same name derived its epithet from the French, which took the word petun, meaning “tobacco,” from a Tupi–Guarani language. An annual, most of the varieties seen in gardens are hybrids (Petunia × atkinsiana, also known as Petunia × hybrida). Petunia is a genus in the family Solanaceae, subfamily Petunioideae. Well known members of Solanaceae in other subfamilies include tobacco (subfamily Nicotianoideae), and the cape gooseberry, tomato, potato, deadly nightshade and chili pepper (subfamily Solanoideae. Petunias are generally insect pollinated, with the exception of P. exserta, which is a rare, red-flowered, hummingbird-pollinated species. Most petunias are diploid with 14 chromosomes and are interfertile with other petunia species, as well as with Calibrachoa.

The tubular flowers are favoured by some Lepidoptera species, including the Hummingbird hawk moth. Petunias can tolerate relatively harsh conditions and hot climates, but not frost. They need at least five hours of sunlight every day and flourish in moist soil and conditions of low atmospheric humidity. They are best grown from seed. Watering once a week should be sufficient in most regions. Hanging baskets and other containers need more frequent watering.Maximum growth occurs in late spring. Applying fertilizer monthly or weekly, depending on the variety, will help the plant grow quickly.
